Casa 1242 was a multidisciplinary creative house founded in 2015 in Montevideo, Uruguay.
At the time, I was in need of a comfortable place to work and produce, as well as a space where I could collaborate with other artists or professionals.

We rented an old house and took 2 months to restore it and decorate it.
Casa 1242 hosted more than 20 active individuals (and many more visitors) who worked there everyday,
where projects ranging from illustration to defensive cyber security coexisted harmoniously.

Functioning as a long-term coworking space, it hosted offices for many different projects, including design studios like Chucho.TV and software factory startups like Lexart Labs.
There was a music studio, a fully equipped studio for video productions, an extensive artistic wardrobe available for productions, and many comfortable common areas, including a small rooftop farm.

there was a special team dedicated to organizing workshops, company training sessions and events of all kinds. Often, the house was entirely transformed for a specific project, such as a music video I directed and filmed for Radio Palermo (click here to watch) which was shot in different areas of the house.

After three years of amazing creative work, shared by many talented friends, family, and colleagues, we had to let the house go due to significant structural risks that the building's owner did not want to address.
Still, it was a great run!
